yogurt is the highlight of the day.

I had a work dinner tonight, one that happens a few times a year and one that I always look forward to because it’s guaranteed to be an epic meal.  There’s always a theme and tonight’s was Argentinian/South American food.

Any good meal starts out with some (undocumented) wine.  And some kind of cheesy something or other dip with tortilla chips for an appetizer.  I would have licked the bowl the dip was in clean, it was that good.  Bread and butter are also important.

The main course had grilled veggies and a tomato/avocado salad.   And beef, but that doesn’t interest me.  I’m sure it was delicious, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Dessert was espresso chip ice cream and fresh strawberries.  I should have put the strawberries in with the ice cream, that would have been amazing.

I ended up cutting out of the dinner awhile before everyone else so I could go run.  Mark that among the things I never thought I’d hear myself say!  Anyhow.  Running after that much food and wine and a cup of coffee?  Bad idea.  I was miserable, but thankfully a treadmill with a TV opened up pretty shortly into my run so I hopped over and Glee got me through it. Even if it was the Bieber Fever episode (although the “Take Me or Leave Me” rendition redeemed it).  I did 4 miles in 44:35 (11:08 pace).

I did have a nice surprise waiting once I got home!  Chobani sent me a case of their new flavors to try:  lemon, mango, and black cherry.  I will definitely let y’all know how they are!  Okay, I wasn’t truly surprised, I knew they were coming.  I just forgot today was the delivery date.  Either way, I’m super excited!  Definitely the highlight of my day.  Truth.

Plus, I had a $50 check from Ebates sitting in my mailbox, so that was awesome too.  Is it bad that I was really more excited about the yogurt?

What was the highlight of your day?

woah how did you get on Chobani’s good side like that? I seriously want to know how all these bloggers get free samples to try out and blog about. So. not. fair.

Honestly…I asked them and they said sure!
