working in an igloo.

So that conference I had for work this afternoon?  Yeah…about that.  I went to one session, grabbed some of the refreshments, and went back to my desk.  I realize this makes it sound like I just went for the food which probably would have been the case had I known there was going to be food.  Just an added bonus!

I had two peanut butter cookies and a just so-so brownie.

I really should have stayed at the conference for no other reason than it was so cold on my floor today!  It’s chilly most days, but today was particularly bad for me.  I spent most of the afternoon wearing my fleece jacket and gloves plus I had a blanket over my legs!  Some days, I think I work in an igloo…particularly sad since the building is less than a year old!

I was going for the I’m freezing cold facial expression…but I think it ended up more along the lines of I don’t know what’s going on here look.

dinner + run.

I headed to the Y for my first run since Saturday after work.  With how much my knee has been acting up since the move, I wanted to do a light run to hopefully work out some of the kinks.  I got 2.0 miles in before I had to stop.  I think trying to add a bit of speedwork in there was not my smartest move.  I was doing well at a slow and steady pace.

Saturday’s 11.0 mile long run should be interesting.

Once I got home, I was hungry yet again!  Seriously, what is my deal lately?!  I whipped up a package of spinach cheese tortellini, threw some pasta sauce and parm on top, and called it good.

Can I just share a pet peeve of the food industry?  I can’t stand when there’s 2.5 servings in a package, like there was with this pasta!  That is just silly!  I don’t understand why they don’t make it an even 2 or 3.

But, I digress.

I had the last bit of a bottle of wine, too.  There was so little left, I’m really not sure why I bothered moving it.

It was a nice way to kick off a long weekend!

I hope your knee starts feeling better. And I agree on the random servings included in a package. What the heck does anyone do with half a serving…except eat it, probably when it isn’t really necessary, but because it isn’t worth saving half a serving. I think it’s a conspiracy 😉
