what I missed during vegan month.

You know what I missed the most during the vegan month challenge?

Hands down, a bagel and cream cheese combo.  Don’t get me wrong, I love a good bagel with some peanut butter, but there’s just something about the cream cheese that makes so tasty.  Maybe it’s the fact that it’s only in recent years I actually discovered my affinity for cream cheese?  Or that I have yet to find Tofutti (vegan cream cheese)?  Whatever it is, I truly missed this combination.

I mean, come ON!  Doesn’t that look so good?!  Further proof I can’t hack it as a full-fledged vegan.  The other thing I really can’t wait to eat again is Greek yogurt!  I missed my Cho like whoa!  Heh.

I’ve been working like crazy all morning to get stuff done at work since I’m not in the office tomorrow (!!).  I’m feeling pretty great about how much I’ve crossed off my to-do list already and I’ve got four hours to go before heading home!  Awesomesauce.

I knew it was time to take a break when I started getting shaky.  You know that I should have eaten like 20 minutes ago feeling?  Yeah, it was like that.  I had some Trader Joe’s pasta I had brought yesterday and abandoned in favor of a trip to Smashburger.  Just as good a day later!

Glee is on tonight!  Yay!  I’m excited, but also really ready for the new season to start – I’m anxious for September 21!  Not only does the third season start, but so does Zooey Deschanel’s new show The New  Girl.  I am ridiculously excited for this show, in large part because I think she’s pretty fantastic.

What new show are you excited for this fall?

I had me a bagel and cream cheese this morning. I did manage to find some tofutti cream cheese; I got the herb and chives kind because I was afraid the plain would just make me sad. It really isn’t too bad, but its not better either.

I’m not a fan of cheese in general, but I agree about the merits of a bagel covered in cream cheese!

Tofutti cream cheese is totally fine in things like spinach dip or jalapeno + cream cheese roll-ups, but it is just not so delicious by itself on a bagel. Since going vegan (or 99% vegan) I’ve stuck to Earth Balance, hummus, or pb on bagels. I do miss a good slop of Panera cream cheese on an asiago or cinnamon crunch bagel though! Yum!

I SO could not hack it as a Vegan! My list of loves is too long to even mention…yogurt, milk, burgers, cheese… I don’t know when the new season of the Amazing Race starts, but I’m pretty stoked for that!
