weekly workout recap: week of 07.03.11

by Mindy @ Just A One Girl Revolution on July 11, 2011

in Last Week's Workouts

I haven’t done a workout recap since mid-June, because there really hasn’t been much to talk about.  I mean, really.

I’ve got a whole laundry list of excuses reasons:  stress, ongoing knee pain, exhaustion, laziness, all of the above.

But, I have to get back on track.  So, despite a lack of workouts to recap, I’m posting anyways.  In part to talk about my plans for this week and make those known, but more than anything, because I need to start somewhere and vocalizing my plans provides that extra sense of accountability.

It’s looking more and more like the marathon might not happen this year the way my knee has been acting, but I’m going to make my best effort.  I have no expectations of a glorious finishing time if I am able to do it, but I want so desperately to cross that finish line.  So, for now, it’s still on.  I make no guarantees that it will stay that way.  I might drop down to the half marathon or worst case scenario, I might have to drop out period.

We’ll see how it plays out.  Only time will tell.

  • Sunday:   —
  • Monday:  zumba
  • Tuesday:  3.0 miles + powerflex
  • Wednesday:  yoga
  • Thursday:  4.0 miles
  • Friday:  3.0 miles
  • Saturday:  rest

I’m also still working on the 3000 in 35 abs challenge and last night I restarted (again) the 100 push up challenge.

I feel rejuvenated and more determined than ever.

Hi Mindy,
Just found your blog through dailymile! I’m also training for the Bridge Run and the GR Marathon 🙂 I can’t wait to read about your training. Hopefully your knee with start to cooperate and you can get back into your training. It’s still early, so you will probably be just fine!

I also love the race results tab on your site. I might have to “borrow” that idea, if that’s ok 🙂

Hi Bari! Thanks for the comment and for adding me on DM! Good luck to you in your training, it’s always great to find other local runners! You are more than welcome to “borrow” the race results page!
