weekly recap: week of 11.03 – 11.09

Looking back to last week’s recap, things didn’t  go so hot.  Between getting sick and the craziness of life getting in the way, I felt like I crashed and burned.  I was really excited for this week to start feeling better and end the week feeling much more successful.

It was a bit of an out of the ordinary start to the week, being at my sister’s and taking care of her kids for a few days.  On top of that, my allergies kicked in, so all around I felt like a hot mess.  I was so happy to get back to a normal routine on Monday!

I’ve decided to start leaving Sundays as a “whatever my heart desires” day – it feels freeing to have one day on the schedule where I know I’ll (most likely) work out, but I can play it by ear and decide what I really want to do, and what my body is needing that day.

goals.

one: drink at least 64 ounces of water a day.  
two: 
get back to blogging consistently. I’ve been such a slacker lately!
three:
stock my fridge back up with healthy options.

I feel really great about reaching my goals this week – I wasn’t consistently tracking how much water I was drinking, but if the frequency of my trips to the bathroom are any indication, I feel right on track.  I also feel back in my blogging grove and I stopped at the grocery store once I got back into town on Sunday.  Success all around!

one:  stick to my workout plan!  Sometimes I suck at this and I allow whatever’s going on in my life to become an excuse.
two: find/prepare one new recipe.
three: get up when my alarm goes off in the morning. The snooze button is getting a little too much use these days.

I saw your comment on Carrots n Cake and had to come over! I live by Cadillac, MI and have run the Riverbank 25k twice and am doing it again in 2012! I’m thrilled to find a similar minded blooger 🙂

Hey Katie! Yea, so glad to find other RBR fans (and MI bloggers!)! This year will be my 3rd time as well (hopefully) – I’m just starting back up with running after some time off to recover from injury, so we’ll see where things end up.
