Thus far, today seems to have a theme:  unprepared.

breakfast.

The unpreparedness started this morning when I realized that before I went to bed last night, I failed to put together the vegan overnight oats I planned on for breakfast.  So I ended up having, well, vegan oats with 1 cup almond milk, 1/3 cup polled oats, and a spoonful each of chia seeds and sunflower seed butter.

It worked alright, but would have been so much better had  I done it the night before.  You know, actually had the overnight part in there.

Le sigh.

lunch.

Unpreparedness moment number two came on my way to work.  Note to self:  when planning to stop at the grocery store to pick up something for lunch on your way to the office, it’s crucial to take your wallet out of your gym bag and put it  back in your purse.

Yep.  I got to the store, tried to grab my wallet before I went in, and after a moment of panic, realized it was still right where I left in the night before.  In my gym bag.  Awesome.

Fortunately, I have some food at my desk, but that supply is dwindling.  Bring on the peanut butter sandwich.

I’m on a roll today, aren’t I?  Fortunately since I got to work (and have made it more than halfway through the day), things seem to be going much smoother.  Let’s keep in that way!

february goals.

A new month, a clean slate, a fresh start.  I love the 1st day of the month; it’s like New Year’s twelve times a year!  I have a couple goals for February.

  • Continue January’s goal of flossing and taking a multivitamin every day.
  • No soda. This is kicking off my 101 in 1001 item of no soda for six months); hopefully it’ll be a permanent change.  I don’t really blog about it because Diet Coke is really not that  all interesting, especially when it’s a daily occurrence.  But, I’ve definitely redeveloped my addiction and I need to stop!
  • Stick to the food related 2011 goals of eating out no more than twice per week, no more than one fancy coffee drink per week, and eating vegan one day a week.
  • Run 60 miles.  7.5 weeks until the National Half Marathon!  Time to get serious!

I didn’t have specific Feb goals until I found your blog… I am GUILTY of being a terrible flosser. So, I’m joining you and hereby declaring this Flossy February. 🙂
