Today I ate my weight in chocolate. Okay, that’s a slight exaggeration, but I had more than enough fun size Twix and Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream bars for an entire week.
Today I put my big girl pants on and took care of my car. Regina was well overdue for an oil change. And by well overdue, I mean, more than a 1,000 miles. I had a moment of panic when they told me there was several hundred dollars in other stuff that needs to be done. Just the oil for today, please. Rob my bank account the next time, when I can mentally prepare myself.
Today I skipped the 4 mile run I was supposed to do and went to trivia night instead. Normally, I could have done both, but I had to take care of the dogs. I chose friends.
Today I had my billionth piece of toast with sunflower seed butter and a cinnamon/white chocolate chip mix. I enjoyed it just as much as the first. Maybe more.
Today I put my camera down and just enjoyed being with my friends. I had two beers and an entire serving of spinach artichoke dip. I didn’t photograph any of it, but I did have fun and not worry about getting just the right shot in just the right lighting from just the right angle. I just enjoyed my food for what it was.
Today I helped my team to a second place win at trivia night. Smarter than Watson for the win. I knew my obsession with Glee would pay off eventually. Nice work, team. Nice work.
Today I am completely okay with the fact that I didn’t make the healthiest choices, but I lived my life and enjoyed myself. Sometimes, a girl needs those nights.
Today I may not have made the best choices, but I fully believe I made the right choices. Sometimes, that is the healthiest thing someone can do for themselves.
