the return.

My return to the gym this afternoon was (mostly) successful!  Woohoo!!

The end of last week, they replaced most of the older machines at my Y with newer ones and as a result, it looked quite different when I got up to that floor!  I thought I was in the wrong place with how different it looked!  I think I looked a little lost (yes, at the gym I’ve been going to for over three years!).

Once I got my bearings, I hopped on the elliptical for a bit and did 2.0 miles in 22:32, before doing some ab work.  I did 130 abs and 15 push-ups (from the toes!).

I ended my time with about 35 minutes of Zumba before my knee started killing me; I was past the eh, it’s a little sore phase and it felt like it was burning!  Eek!  It was a bit swollen, so I’m glad I stopped when I did.  It’s still a really fine line to know when to stop.

I really did feel like it was progress, all in all.  I may not have stuck out the whole Zumba like I wanted, but something is better than nothing, and I left feeling pretty proud of myself!

I wanted quick and easy for dinner once I got home.  Chips, avocado, and salsa (corn and black bean, yum!) did the trick!

There are 16 servings of salsa in the jar I was using and I ate about half of them in one sitting tonight!  But I truly don’t believe that TWO tablespoons is a reasonable serving, especially not of something that’s all veggies!!  I just love salsa too much!

Off to watch The Bachelorette!  Ah, I can’t believe I got sucked into this show, one I resisted watching for so many seasons!

woohoo!! welcome back to the fitness world 🙂 I agree with you– salsa is entirely too disprorportionate! It’s so good and no fat!

Yay for a successful trip! I hate when they mix things around at the gym too. I get confused so easily.
