That whole put your water logged electronic device in a bag of rice trick really does work!  I let my phone sit overnight in the rice and it works just like new this morning!  Praise  God!  I was so worried that I had ruined my baby cell phone.

Before I headed to bed last night, I was excited to prep this morning’s breakfast:  overnight oats in a jar!  I had an almost empty jar of sunflower seed butter that I was itching to use up.  Just look at all that deliciousness waiting to be eaten up!

My jar contained 1/3 cup each vanilla Chobani, almond milk, and rolled oats, plus 1 tablespoon each of chia seeds and cacao nibs.  Truth be told, the overnight oats were almost sans oats.  I was putting it all together and could not for the life of me figure out what I was missing.  Then it dawned on me that it was the oats!

Glad I remembered…it just wouldn’t have been the same without that key ingredient!  This is, hands down, one of my favorite breakfast treats!

This week’s weigh in put me right back where I was two weeks ago.  I’ll take it!   Now, if only I could break this run in the 160s and finally get back (and stay!) in the 150s, I’ll be a happy camper.

After this Saturday’s 25k is done and in the books, I’m ready to really start focusing on amping up my weight loss efforts.  An increased focus on eating well plus a little extra time in the gym?  Let’s make it happen!

On a related note, Beth reached her weight loss goal today!  Congrats lady!  I’m so happy for you!

Work has been a bit stressful the past few days trying to resolve a couple different issues without much luck and it kind of makes me want to pull my hair out.  Or maybe just start crying.  Or drink a margarita or two.  None of those seem like the professional option to do at my desk, so I went with the next best alternative:  lunch from Jimmy John’s.  I looked back through the blog and was really pleased that it’s been 2.5 weeks since I last ordered JJs.  A new record, perhaps?

On a brighter note, I’m taking a couple hours off tomorrow afternoon!  By this time tomorrow, I’ll be wrapping things up and starting my weekend!
