the headache that won’t go away.

There are few things that make me happier in this world than a guy with a great singing voice.  It’s even better when said guy, Peter Hollens in this case, is helping spread a great message like Operation Beautiful.  A cappella?  Bonus!

How can you not love it?  I’ve had it on repeat all morning!

A word from Caitlin: If you think Peter’s video is a hit, please Facebook, Twitter, Digg, e-mail, and/or blog the video. Here’s a sample tweet with the video’s tinyURL if you’d like to copy and paste: “Check out this awesome #operationbeautiful Lady Gaga cover by @PeterHollens: http://tinyurl.com/6eq3qpg” Thank you in advance for spreading the message!

I was so happy to have finally gotten some real groceries yesterday morning, so it makes perfect sense that for dinner, Sara and I ordered a pizza.  I had a lot of it.  As in, half a large cheese pizza, lot.  I heart pizza.

I actually spent most of the afternoon/evening with a nasty headache.  I think I have some kind of allergy to one of the candles I was burning, because every time I burn this particular one, I get a headache.  Major bummer because it smells so good!  By time time I went to bed, it was pretty much gone but returned in the middle of the night and has lingered on every since.  I know what I need to do to get rid of a migraine…but this is like the headache that won’t go away!  Dislike.

For breakfast this morning, I made baked apple breakfast oats and added in rolled oats, vanilla Chobani, cinnamon chips, and cacao nibs.  I wasn’t a big fan of the cacao nibs in there, but it was worth a shot, no?

I had about 4 times as many emails to attend to once I got to work this morning.  I suppose that’s what happens when you take a day off!  Things are pretty much under control at this point, but it definitely kept me busy all morning!!

By the time lunch rolled around, I wasn’t super hungry which was a welcome change from the past couple weeks when I’ve had the appetite of a teenage boy.  I don’t know if my appetite is finally back to normal or if the headache is part of the problem.

I ate some leftover tortellini, plus some cucumbers and hummus on the side.

All I really want, if I’m being honest, is a Diet Coke and a big chocolate bar.  Milky Way, to be exact.  Methinks a trip to the vending machine is in store this afternoon!

What’s your favorite candy bar? I’m not too picky, but I love anything with chocolate and peanut butter (Reese’s) or Red Vines.  Neither of which is an actual candy bar, persay, but amazing nonetheless.

I second the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, though I tend to prefer the holiday treats (e.g. eggs, trees, pumpkins) because they have more peanut butter. I also LOVE Mars bars, but they have been discontinued; I have to settle for a Snickers Almond as a very close replacement. I also adore Red Vines.

Chris and I devoured a 13-inch pizza by ourselves last night, so I too inhaled half a pizza. And a small container of gummy sharks. LOL Gotta love long run days, eh?

Favorite candy bar is probably Mounds or Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Mmmm…
