the cat’s pajama’s.

in Grand Rapids Dinner Club

I’ve decided that I simply don’t get enough Indian food in my life.  It’s so ridiculously good!

For dinner club last night, we went to Bombay Cuisine which I love, love, love.  I always get the chana, but I mixed it up (gotta try 27 more new dishes!) and ordered daal makhni.

It might not be Indian Food Wednesday, but it still tastes good on Friday!  The dish came with rice and NAAN!  Yum.

Clearly, it was good.  I would have licked my plate clean had it not been a public place.  Gotta keep it classy. 😉

I managed to come pretty dang close though!

Saturday’s been treating me quite well.  I’ve decided that it just might be my favorite day of the week.  The work week is completely behind me, but it doesn’t come with the “oh, back to work tomorrow” cloud that Sunday afternoon/evening carries.

Truth.  Also, I really just think the phrase “the cat’s pajama’s” is really funny.

This morning, I had orientation for volunteering with ArtPrize (aka the most epic art contest ever!).  Almost 1,600 artists showing their work throughout downtown Grand Rapids makes for a great couple of weeks in the city.

I’ve wanted to volunteer the past two years the event happened, but just never did.  I committed to changing that this year and I’m so excited to get more involved!

I haven’t worked out hardly at all this week, so I skipped the nap I really wanted (but didn’t actually need since I slept until 9:30 this morning) and got my booty to the gym for 12.0 miles on the bike!  Yep, I was feeling that by the end.  Hurts so good.

I was really craving eggs tonight, but really needed to use up the stir-fry I had in the fridge.  So, I combined the two!

Best decision of the day!

It makes up for the worst decision of the day of skipping lunch.  I was on the brink of hangry by the time I finally got around to dinner (which was super early).  Sign me up for the early bird special, I’m eating dinner before 5pm.  I’m cool like that.

What’s your favorite day of the week and why?

Sundays are my favorite. Perfect day to be lazy. I usually sit on the porch in the afternoon and enjoy a cup of chocolate.

I’m not hugely familar with Indian food but the daal makhni looks delicious! Though I’m a baby and would need something mild. I do love naan…actually I love any delicious bread.

I love Saturdays too! You can sleep in and not worry about work the next day. Glad you had a good weekend!
