so long, farewell.

How is your Monday going?  I can’t believe that the day is practically over already!

lunch.

I kept lunch quite light today, just a hummus and sprouts sammie.  Between a late breakfast and an afternoon office party, I knew I needed to keep it small.

adios, aubs.

One of my coworkers, Aubrie, has her last day at the office on Wednesday, so this afternoon we threw her a surprise going away party, complete with a cake, gifts, and snacks.

I had a little bit of several things.  Well, a lot of guacamole, but a little of everything else.

I really like frosting cake.

After work, I made my way to the Y for my first workout since last Wednesday.  I did a mile run on the treadmill before heading over to Zumba.  It was the first class I’ve been to in awhile and I forgot how much I love it!  There were a couple songs I struggled to keep up with, but for the most part, I feel like I held my own.

Once I got home, I was not hungry.  At all.  I had a small bowl of Kashi so there was something to hold me over until morning.

Have you ever done a Zumba class? I really don’t go enough!

I just bought 5 classes for $10, so I should get going. 😀 It’s a good and cheap way to get exposed since I’ve never gone. The videos on YouTube sorta intimidate me.

The first couple classes are definitely tough, but stick with it!

I have tried the Zumba videos, but not the classes. I do really enjoy yoga classes when I actually go. There just aren’t any good ones around here. I may join a studio when I move to Colorado, but we shall see. They can be so incredibly pricey! But exercising with people can be so awesome.

The yoga classes I go to are just okay, but I sadly can’t afford a Y membership AND a studio, so I suck it up.

The icing flowers are always the best part of any cake 😉

I did a zumba class once and it was horrible. I have absolutely NO rhythm whatsoever, so most of the class was just me awkwardly pushing my hips back and forth instead of getting a workout :\

I’m just not a huge fan of Zumba, which I believe is directly linked to my lack of coordination! I do think it’s important to find something you enjoy, though!
