And so it begins! Snowmageddon/Snowpocalypse/snOMG/Snowtorious BIG aka Biggie Snows (my personal favorite) has begun. Thus far, I think everything has gotten blown out of proportion, but the worst of it is supposedly still coming. No matter how it ends up, I have a snow day from work tomorrow! Score!
I dug into my snack drawer and found a bag of Quaker Fiber Crisps that had been in my Healthy Living Summit swag bag from August. Yes, I still had them around. Yes, they were almost two months past the expiration date.
And, yes, I still ate them. Two servings to be exact.
After feeding the dogs dinner and letting them out for awhile, I headed back downtown to get a run in before the snow really started. Shoot, the roads were dead, but the gym was packed!
I did 3 miles on the treadmill and I think my time was around 33:10. I stopped to talk to a friend for a few minutes and the machine reset itself, so I had to do estimate a bit. I also did some crunches and continued with the 100 Push Up Challenge. I finished Week 1, Day 3 today, so I’m up to 22! I did them all the “real” way!
I stopped at the store (with my wallet this time!) to pick up a couple things. I grabbed an Amy’s frozen dinner for tonight. It was after 8 pm by the time I got home and I wanted something quick and easy!
I had the Thai Stir-Fry. It was good and definitely helped fulfill the cravings I’ve had for Thai food lately. I still need to make it out for the real deal though. Real food beats frozen meals anytime, hands down!
And, with this dinner, I’ve got my first fully vegan day of 2011 on the books! Once a week shouldn’t be so hard, it’s just a matter of making the effort to plan accordingly!
Hmm…what to do with an unexpected day off? I’m thinking lots of sleeping, reading, and movie watching! Can’t wait!!
Are you getting crazy weather with this newest storm system?
