It’s that time again!  I’ve been burnt out on the playlists I’ve got and beyond anxious for a new workout mix!  I’ve used this one a few times now, including for Saturday’s 4.0 mile training run and I’m loving it so much!

Fun, right?  I love new mixes, they always give me a boost when I’m working out!  A couple other workout playlists I’ve put together on the blog:

I was really wishing I could stay in bed this morning!  I’ll complain all winter long about the cold and snow, but the darkness is what really gets to me this time of year.  It’s so dark!  All. The. Time.  My energy and mood thrive on sunshine!  But, just a couple more weeks until the winter solstice, then the days slowly get longer again!  Yay for sunshine!

I had my standard toast before leaving the house this morning.  Once I got to work, one of my coworkers spent most of the morning trying to convince me to eat a cinnamon roll.

Eventually, I caved.  It was worth it!

Just look at all that cinnamon-y goodness!

I’ve also been trying to convince myself all morning to not register for the River Bank Run 25k…at least not quite yet.  The prices don’t go up until the end of January, so I want to wait until then to be sure my knee holds up.  So far, so good though!

For lunch, I worked on eating some of the stuff that’s been building up in the office refrigerator.  My collection was starting to get a little ridiculous for a space shared with a couple dozen people.

Back to work and my “don’t be fancy, just get dance-y” Monday playlist!  Desk dance party, what what!

Oh the siren call of the cinnamon rolls….

Also, and this is something I’ve told myself too, don’t push yourself to sign up early for a race just because you will save yourself $10 or $20. Sure, it seems great but if you can’t run the race you are costing yourself a lot more than an extra $20, right? Anyway, not to say you shouldn’t sign up at the end of January, just don’t let the small savings be what pushes you in. Let it be how strong you feel and confidant you are in your body to rock it injury free! 🙂
