pumpkin ravioli is the best ravioli.

So, Mission Get Back on Track is already off to a semi-rocky start!  By the time I got out of work and trekked to my car, I didn’t have enough time to get to the Y and get changed before Zumba.  I did very briefly contemplate throwing it all out the window, but I know something is better than nothing, so I made a promise to myself that I still had to do strength training at some point in the evening.

Fun afternoon snack of white cheddar popcorn.  It was a prepackaged some or other brand, so not as fun as homemade would have been, but a girl can only do so much at work!  Plus, it was in my desk snack drawer and a better option than a trip down to the vending machine.

I stumbled across the Meijer brand of pumpkin ravioli in the freezer section when I was shopping yesterday and immediately threw a box in the cart.  I had to try it and I’m so glad I did!  Paired with some wilted spinach, sundried tomato sauce, and a bit of parmesan cheese, it was a fantastic dinner!  I heart pumpkin.  It makes for some amazing ravioli!  Anyone have a good recipe for a homemade version?

Garlic toast on a Bagel Thin on the side.

Dessert came in the form of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg and an Oberon while watching Jeopardy!  I love that show.  When I know a lot of the answers, I feel so smart – when I don’t know the answers, though, that’s another story.  Tonight was a bit more on the not knowing side of things.

After the show was over, it was time to grab the weights and get moving.  I used a pair of 5 pound free weights for an upper body and core workout.

  • 15 biceps curls
  • 15 triceps curls
  • 15 overhead presses
  • 15 lateral raises
  • 15 front raises
  • 45 crunches (15 normal, plus 15 to each side)
  • 45 second forearm plank
  • 20 second side plank on each side

I repeated the circuit three times and my arms were feeling it by the end!  I knew since I didn’t make it to Zumba, this had to be a good one!  I also started back at square one on the 100 pushup challenge.  I did 7 on the initial test. I will get through the whole thing one of these times.  This will be that time.

Hope you had a lovely Monday!  I’m looking forward to a NEW episode of Glee tomorrow!!
