physical therapy works.

Is it too much to believe that after two appointments, I really feel like physical therapy is making a difference?  I don’t know if it truly is or if it’s all in my head, but I do notice some progress!  Everything I did during my session yesterday seemed a little easier and I felt a lot stronger.  It’s sometimes harder to remember my at home exercises, but I know they’re so important in my long-term recovery!  The latest thing to work on at home is foam rolling my IT band because it’s crazy tight!

After my PT appointment, I met up with my friend Hannah at Marie Catrib’s!  I always get the same thing when I eat at Marie’s, so I forced myself out of that comfort zone and got something new:  The Handyman.  It’s glazed tofu, seasoned potatoes, roasted red peppers, avocado, and a garlic spread.  In other words, deliciousness.  Made even better by seasoned potatoes.

I generally only eat half the sandwich at Marie’s because they’re so big (and then I get to continue the yummy foods the next day), but I ate the whole thing last night since I knew the avocado would be nasty today.  I just ate fewer potatoes instead!

Such sacrifices. 😉

I planned to go run once I got home, but the thunder and lightening ruined that plan.  Plus, this happened.

I think I picked the right option!  Plus, I spent a long time working on my seven links post, which was considerably harder than I thought it would be!  It was really fun going back and looking through the first weeks of the blog, seeing how my style has changed since last May.

We had a pretty epic thunderstorm roll through last night.  What was coming down early evening was nothing compared to around the time I went to bed.  We’re talking wall shaking, jumping a foot because it was so loud, type of thunder.  I loved it, but I’m weird like that!

Breakfast was toast, again.  Because I’m just that predictable.

The day is flying by!  It helps that I’m leaving a bit early for a 4 pm hot yoga class.

I ate the rest of my potatoes from last night for lunch and oh man, the seasoning got a lot zippier overnight!  I like spice, but by the time I was finished, it was getting to be a little too much!

Cantaloupe and sugar snap peas rounded out the meal.

Since I got the pizza idea in my head yesterday, that’s what I really wanted, but they’re still not delivering.  Probably better all around that way.

Love the potatoes at Marie’s! And that sandwich looked great too. I’m glad the PT is helping – yeah!

Geez, I don’t know if I could choose between the sandwich and potatoes. It’s in those situations that I finish everything and then whine the rest of the night about how full I am. Priorities ;). So glad that the PT seems to be working for you, even if it is partially just a mental thing!
