The move went mostly problem free yesterday! The only minor crisis was I took a chunk out of my thumb within the first 20 minutes. Thankfully, my mom bought me an emergency first aid kit to keep in my car because I had no idea where band-aids or anything like that was and there was a good amount of blood.
Otherwise, things went surprisingly smooth and even more surprising was that we got done really quickly! Three hours, maybe? I was not expecting that at all. I guess it helps when you’re only moving three miles down the road. (I really don’t know how I’d handle something like a cross country move – given how much this one stressed me out, I don’t think it’d be pretty…).
Now comes the fun part of unpacking and finding places for everything in the new place. I’m a bit overwhelmed right now because everything is in complete chaos and I don’t know where a lot of things are. But, it will all get done and things will be settled in before I know it!
I took most of the evening to chill with my roommates and watch the Oscars! The highlight of the show? The autotuned Oscars.
Since my kitchen stuff is still packed up (the three of us have to work out how to divide up the kitchen and whose things to use since there are duplicates), it was another day of eating out. I feel like that’s all I’ve done lately. Oh wait, it is.
I did mix up my bagel order this morning and got a cheddar herb with veggie cream cheese.
It’s quite possibly this may have taken over the salsa pepperjack as my usual.
It was a busy, busy morning. I had a meeting to set up, then sit in for over two hours. I went through a lot of coffee to stay awake; it’s been a really long few days.
Lunch continued the eating out trend. Well, this time was ordering in, but same principles. Jimmy John’s veggie sub with extra avocado and BBQ chips. I’m so predictable.
As I was driving home, I remembered that I had a container of chili in the fridge at work. I really didn’t need the Jimmy John’s after all! I’m not complaining one bit. I heart JJ’s so much!
Chocolate makes any day a bit brighter! And yes, I do sort my M&Ms by color before I eat them. I have issues.
Tonight has been full of buying a few groceries and doing some unpacking. It’s feeling a bit more like home with every empty box.
