not worth the stress.

I had this epic brief moment of panic earlier today.  I was going over my Google calendar for the next couple weeks and freaked out because of how much I have to do and how little time I have to do it.

I’ve got a work dinner tomorrow night, youth group Wednesday night, an alumni event for my alma mater Thursday night.  Starting Thursday, I’m house/dog sitting again until the 25th.  The weekend of the 26th/27th, I’m moving.  Nothing far, just across town, but no less I have to pack up all of my belongings at some point in time.  Throw work and half marathon training in the mix plus a 5k this weekend and it was just enough to almost send me over the edge.

I took a few deep breaths (and ate multiple pieces of chocolate out of my candy jar) and reminded myself that stressing out won’t make anything better.  It;s not worth it and certainly won’t help the situation at all.  In all honesty, stressing out will probably make it worse.  I’ll take it one day at a time, get done what I have to get done, and everything will be just fine.  Right?


Just some leftovers tonight – nothing special, but I love when leftovers make for an easy lunch to pack!  I ate the rest of the tempeh vegetable dish from a few nights ago.

I think I liked it better the second time around.

I may not have a Valentine this year, but I still got valentine’s!  So fun!  I had every intention of buying some to pass out but today crept up on me!  Seriously, how are we halfway through February?  The sucker made a good afternoon snack, along with the aforementioned chocolate.  It’s not Valentine’s Day without chocolate.

After work, it was Zumba time!  I ran for a bit on the track before class and did 2 miles in 19:40 (9:50 pace).  I think if there hadn’t been a TON of people (including a random preschool class) on the track, I could have been just a bit faster.  That’s okay.  I had to conserve some energy for shaking my booty!  I convinced Andi to join in tonight!  Yay for friends trying out one of my favorite classes!  Such fun tonight.


I threw together a strawberry banana smoothie almost immediately after getting home.  I had 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1 banana, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, and 1 cup almond milk.  I sprinkled just a bit of granola on top.  It felt more like a milkshake than a smoothie.  So good.

Time to go do a bit of packing!  Anyone want to come do it for me?  JUST kidding, the anal retentive side of me would not handle someone else doing my packing well at all.
