Be sure to check out Heather’s Raffle for Life!

She is holding to help support her cousin Micki’s Relay for Life efforts.  They are honoring their Aunt Pat who passed away from cancer.  There is a bunch of great stuff up for grabs!  Raffle it up!

Yesterday, my dad and stepmom came into town to bring a couple pieces of furniture they had been holding onto for me.  After we got the couch and love seat into the house, they took me out for dinner.

We ended up at Perkin’s.  Exciting, I know, but they like it and I’m not one to complain about a free meal.  😉

I had the build your own omelet with spinach, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese, and a side of breakfast potatoes.  I lurve breakfast for dinner!

The meal came with the choice of a short stack of pancakes or French toast, but I upgraded to the Mammoth Muffin instead, and brought it home.

So, this morning’s breakfast was a quick and easy solution:  a banana nut muffin. Mammoth is a pretty accurate description – they are BIG!

It’s been a super crazy, busy morning, partly due to taking Friday afternoon off and catching up on things.

Before I left on Friday, I got three consecutive international phone calls from someone speaking Spanish.  My last Spanish class was about 10 years ago, so I’m rusty to say the least.  I was pulling out any relevant phrase I could, you know, the  “yo no comprendo” and “Yo no hablo español” standards.  No matter what I said, she laughed and kept talking.

Finally, I used Google Translate to look up “I think you have the wrong number” and that seemed to do the trick.  Google to the rescue!!

So I thought…when I got back to my desk this morning, I had more voicemails from the same lady!  So far, nothing this morning…knock on wood!

I just sat down to get some lunch in.  I brought the last of the bulgar salad. I’m pretty sure I keep leftovers far too long, but I can’t bring myself to throw food away (or eat it too many meals in a row).

I’m not too sad to see it gone – it was good while it lasted, but definitely made more than I was anticipating!

Zumba tonight!!
