my first cheeseless pizza.

My sister made flank steak salad for the family dinner last night, which left me on my own to experiment and fend for myself.  She had some homemade pizza dough in the fridge, so I made a cheeseless pizza for myself, topped with zucchini and onion.  I’ve never had pizza without cheese, so I really didn’t know what to expect, but it was stil really tasty!

I also grabbed an avocado to make a bowl of guacamole.  Because that’s naturally a side for pizza.  Whatevs, it all tasted great and filled me up!

Nicki and her family got a new puppy, Norman, a few months back.  I haven’t seen him since the end of April, so I was excited to see how much he’s grown!  At only five months old, he’s already huge at 91.6 pounds!  Emma sure does love her new buddy!  I’ve gotta say, I pretty much adore him too.

I was in bed pretty early (for my standards) and watched another episode of Make It or Break It before dozing off a bit after 10.  I am super hooked at the show and almost finished with the first season.

I slept in a bit this morning.  Once I was up and ready to face the day, I ran out to grab a couple things at Walgreens.  I inevitably forget something when I go somewhere and this time it was deodorant.  Oops.

Breakfast was a spoonful of peanut butter before leaving the house and an Odwalla bar that I grabbed at the store.

It’s been a girls day.  My brother-in-law has the kids, so it’s just been me, Nicki, Mom, and Grandma all afternoon.  While we were out and about, I had the first real temptation to the Vegan Month Challenge when they stopped at Dairy Queen.  After a quick Google search, I discovered they have slushies that I could eat.  The people that worked there blended in some fresh strawberries and bananas, too!  Yum!

While everyone else counted their sundaes as lunch, a slushie won’t quite cut it for me, so I’m off to find something else for lunch.  I’m starting to get a little light-headed.  I need more food!

I’ve decided to go vegan for a month as well! Only I’m starting after the 4th, because well, holidays are no time to start changing how one eats. At least for me, anyway.

Good luck! Can’t wait to see how it goes!
