First, things might look different around just a one girl revolution. for the next day or so. Thanks to the wonderful helpful Julie, I am officially self-hosted! She was fabulous to work with, so if you ever need any help with your blog, use her and Savvy Blog Services! But, I’ve got to get the theme back to how it was before the switch (and perhaps purchase Thesis…blog friends who use it, is it worth the investment?).
Can you believe today is the last day of January? It was a great month, even if it did fly by! In January, I registered for my first marathon, kicked off my 101 in 1001 list, survived some sub-zero temperatures, and got sick from my niece…among other things.
I also signed on for Diana‘s Eat in Month Challenge.
I did well with that for about…oh, three or four days. Then it was just all downhill. I definitely ate out much more than the one time the challenge allowed. I tried. Probably not as hard as I could have, but I tried.
I set two goals for January and went 50/50 for the month.
- Floss and take my multivitamin every day. Check and check! I did both every single day! I also started taking a vitamin D supplement.
- Run (at least) 50 miles. This one didn’t go so well. Being sick and not running for a week didn’t help, but even if I had that week, I doubt I would have made it. I came in just shy of 30 miles. I say it’s not bad for my first month really back into a running routine since May!
My goals for the year are a bit hit or miss in my progress. I got so excited about and focused on making a 101 in 1001 list, that I pushed the 2011 goals aside. I made a Google Doc to hopefully help me do better at working towards these!
One of my goals for the year that I want to be more diligent about is eating out no more than twice per week. I overdid it in January (isn’t that ironic given that I was a part of the Eat in Month?) and want to be more money conscious this month!
Tomorrow I’ll share my February goals!
