laker pride.

It was definitely one of those days that feels like it’s never going to end…I left my house at 7:30 this morning and got home 14+ hours later!  I’m glad those days are few and far between lately.

Breakfast was more ore less the exact same thing as I had for dinner last night.  I felt completely uninspired when I was getting things ready this morning and it tasted so good just twelve hours prior that I went with it again.

I had a lunch meeting with a few people.  I hit up the salad bar, because salad is what I need just days before a big race.  Okay, so I added some pasta salad, too.  That makes it a little better!

Oh, and you know, a gooey chocolatey brownie.  Holy yum.

After work, I headed out to the main campus of Grand Valley State University (my beloved alma mater!) for a Young Alumni Council.  Our last meeting was back in January.  I always love going back out to the campus, especially since my entire graduate education was at the Grand Rapids campus.  It’s so fun to see how things change and grow over time!  I have such fond memories of my time at GVSU and my college years.  I feel like I got such a great education and those were hugely formative years of my life.  I am so proud to be a Grand Valley graduate!  Go Lakers!

The meetings always have food and the plethora of healthy options makes me so happy!  Mad props.

I had to leave that meeting a little early so I could head out to the end of the year picnic for Anthem!  I can’t believe we’re done for the school year – it went so fast!

Also, I may or may not have had my phone in my back pocket of my jeans and it may or may not have fallen into the toilet at the picnic.  Praise God that it was clean water.  But, clean water or not, Ingrid is definitely jacked up and not working right.  Yes, Ingrid.  Ingrid the iPhone.  Yes, I name inanimate objects (hence my car is Regina Phalange).  I’m trying the leave it in a bag of rice trick, hoping and praying it works!  Epic fail.  This, my friends, is why I should not be allowed to have nice things.
