Introduction: one thing on your bucket list.
There’s a lot, but the first thing that came to mind was skydiving.
Question 1: Do you have a food allergy and does it affect your eating? Don’t have an allergy? What food would you hate to be allergic to?
Thankfully, I don’t have any food allergies that I am aware of. A couple things I would hate being allergic to would be strawberries, pineapple, and chocolate. There is a small part of me that wouldn’t mind being lactose intolerant. I think it would make the transition to a vegan lifestyle a lot easier, just in the fact it would force it to happen (at least with the dairy part of it).
Question 2: Dealing with Injuries: Have you ever had an injury while exercising? Were you able to overcome it?
I haven’t injured myself while exercising, but I have had injuries that affected my exercise. Last winter, I slipped and fell on some ice hurting my foot so much I could barely walk for awhile, let alone run. The unfortunate part of that was I was right in the middle of training for a race, so I was completely sidelined. Also, when I was 12, I hyperextended my knee while jumping on a trampoline. It doesn’t bother me too much anymore, but every so often, that will flare up. The biggest challenge in overcoming an injury, I think, is really to just listen to your body and let it heal. I sometimes have a tendency to push it too quickly and exacerbate the injury.
Question 3: Illness: How do you stay healthy while you’re sick? Any secret remedies that help you feel better faster?
I have a lousy immune system, so I feel like I catch anything that’s going around. The two big things for me are vitamin C and sleep. I take vitamin C like it’s candy when I feel an illness coming on. Also, just like with an injury, a big part of it is listening to your body and not pushing things too fast.
Closing: What’s your favorite type of crepe? Also any links/news or something you want to brag about?
Well, to be honest, I have never actually had a crepe, so I don’t have a favorite. I think my brag for the week is that I started my half marathon training this week.
