I can sometimes be a bit of a hypochondriac, so take this with a grain of salt, but I have a slight suspicion that I may have developed a lactose intolerance. I’ve had more dairy the past several days than I usually do and let’s just say it did not sit well with my digestive system, particularly last night’s Frosty. I’m going to try to be a bit more aware of how my body reacts the next few weeks and see where to go from there.
Despite having two breakfasts this morning, my stomach was growling again by like 10:30. I knew at that point if I ate anything, it was going to throw me off the rest of the day, so I held out for another hour or so. This whole morning workout thing gives me a totally different appetite!
I slathered some peanut butter on an Arnold’s Sandwich thin. I could eat peanut butter by the spoonful.
I added some cucumber and hummus with it to get my green on!
How cute are these little single serving containers of hummus? They make me happy! It’s the little things, sometimes.
As I was getting ready to leave work this afternoon, I got the desire to go for a run when I got home. We did intervals during boot camp this morning, so it was probably not my smartest idea, but I laced up my sneaks and off I went.
Yep. Definitely not the smartest idea. I am someone who really needs to focus on breathing when I run, particularly in the first mile or so, and I didn’t do that today. It threw me off something terrible. I ended up walking more than I would have liked and my overall pace was down a bit from where I would like it. It all adds up though! I ended up doing 1.71 miles in 20:25 (11:55 pace). Far from my best, but I’ll take it!!
I signed up to be a part of Robby‘s Going the Distance challenge for October. I set my goal at 100 miles of on the treadmill or road. I probably should have taken into account my remaining boot camp classes for the first few days…it might kick my butt, but that’s why it’s a challenge, right? You should join in the fun!
What’s something that made you happy today?
