it wasn’t about the sandwich.

Happy Friday Thursday!!  I don’t have to work tomorrow, so it feels like Friday to me!  Somehow, knowing it’s a 3 day weekend makes me even more antsy than a normal Friday does!  I’m ready to get this party started!  😎

breakfast.

I almost forgot I bought some blackberries on Monday!  I put them to good use this morning in my lazy girl’s yogurt mess.  Lazy because I didn’t bother taking the yogurt out of the container.  Why waste a perfectly clean dish, right?  I used a container of vanilla Chobani, a handful of rolled oats, some pecans, and of course, blackberries!

Despite this morning’s 16o temperatures (4o with the wind chill!), the fruit make me hopeful that spring will actual come…some day…

I thought this would be a filling breakfast.  It should have been a filling breakfast!  Yet, I apparently have the appetite of a teenage boy lately because I was hungry again about two hours later.  I tried a new (to me) Larabar flavor:  apple pie!  Quite possibly my new favorite!

I also more than happily obliged when someone in the office was making a coffee run.  I’ve had a gift card since before Christmas that was starting to burn a hole in my pocket!

lunch.

I had a peanut butter and honey sandwich for lunch today.  My ulterior motive was really that I had a jar of peanut butter at my desk nearly gone.  The faster I ate up that last bit, the sooner I can have overnight oats in a jar!  Yesssss.  This alone fuels my love of nut butters.

Clearly, it was not about the sandwich today.  Although I certainly did enjoy it!

So, don’t be surprised with OOIAJ makes an appearance, oh I don’t know, early next week.  I can’t wait!!!

Gotta jet – I’m attending a conference for work most of the afternoon!

OIAJ definitely makes everything worth it. I have two jars in my pantry that are *ALMOST* done and I can’t wait!

The apple pie larabar is my favorite! I’ve yet to try the coconut one though, and I have a feeling that one will be pretty high up there:)
