Whoever thinks Michigan is flat is so wrong!  I went for a quick run around my neighborhood, trying a new route and holy hills, Batman!  I knew there were some hills around the area, but these were ridiculous!  The first mile wasn’t too bad, then I rounded the corner.  I think I’ll not take that route every time, but definitely a good one to mix in.  Hill training is a necessary evil.  I ended up doing 3.0 miles in 33:33 (average of 11:11/mile).

  • Mile 1:  10:27
  • Mile 2:  11:37
  • Mile 3:  11:29

As soon as I got in the house, I was ready for something cold!  I opened the fridge, saw watermelon, and I was sold!  It completely hit the spot!

Watermelon is one of those foods that epitomizes summer for me.  And since it went from winter to summer in a matter of a week in Michigan, it’s perfect timing!

Dinner was a simple yogurt mess with vanilla Chobani, Bear Naked vanilla almond granola, blackberries, a few pecans, and chia seeds.  By far a favorite combination.

There would have been strawberries too, but they weren’t looking so good.

It’s time for Glee!  Snackage includes chips and salsa, and a Miller Lite, all courtesy of Jacqueline’s boyfriend.  Thanks, Scott!

Thanks! I wish there was a new camera! I’m still drooling over DSLRs…someday…
