in Running and Training

I had a date with the treadmill today and it was awesome.  I only had time for 3.0 miles but it felt so great!  Far better than last week‘s somewhat miserable effort.  I’ve missed running so much!  I’m feeling pretty confident that I’ll be ready for the 10k next weekend.  It certainly won’t be my best time, but I’m anxious to get back out there!

My dad and stepmom were in town tonight and took me out for a quick bite to eat.  We went to Arnie’s, a local chain and ridiculously good bakery.  The plus of eating here?  Every entree comes with a free taste of heaven cupcake.  Okay, so they probably up the prices of the food to make it “free” but let’s be real, I’m not complaining.

I had the vegetable panini caprese which had spinach, tomatoes, onions and provolone cheese.  It came with a side of chips, but I was craving fries, so I upgraded.  They were the really potato-y kind of fries which are my favorite!

My cupcake selection?  Red velvet, my favorite!  I will always choose red velvet if that’s an option!  It should always be an option, I think.

Look at all that frosting!  I heart frosting.

Oh, and I definitely cried like a baby at tonight’s episode of The Office.  Steve Carrell’s portrayal of Michael Scott is such a crucial part of what makes that show what it is!

I guess the atmosphere that I’ve tried to create here is that I’m a friend first and a boss second, and probably an entertainer third.

Goodbye, Michael. Dunder Mifflin won’t be the same without you.
