First off, happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!  He was an amazing man who made such a difference in our world.

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.
-MLK, Jr.

Also, if you have today off because of the holiday, I’m jealous.  Even though I just had a nice long stretch off over Christmas/New Year’s, I’m still jealous.  But in trying to find the positive, I’m thankful I had a nice long stretch off and I’m even more thankful I have a job to go to every day.

Moving on to the next logical topic:  fashion and Hollywood!  There were a few fashion bombs at the Golden Globes last night, but some definite knock ‘em outta the park winners in my book!  Some of my favorites:

Debra Messing, Dianna Agron, Jessica Alba

Shailene Woodley, Reese Witherspoon, Elle MacPherson

(source: people.com)

I have to say that Dianna’s dress really wasn’t my favorite at first glace, but grew on me!  There were others (Kate Winslet and Emma Stone come to mind), but these are the ones I could find on People’s website when I was putting this together!  The men, as usual, were looking quite seksi. ;-)

As for the show itself, meh.  I wasn’t that impressed and thought it was a bit of a snooze-fest.  I was absolutely thrilled, though, that Octavia Spencer won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture (say that five times fast…) for The Help.  So well deserved!!  Another well-deserved one goes out to honoring Morgan Freeman with the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.  He is absolutely amazing!!

I do have a lot of movies I need to see.  The Descendants. The Iron Lady.  The Artist.  My Week With Marilyn.  And so on…

I restocked on chia seeds this weekend which meant I could use up an almost empty jar of sunflower seed butter!

That means one thing and one thing only:  overnight oats in a jar!!

I had a brain fart last night and used too much almond milk, so they were a bit watery for my liking, but the overabundance of sunflower seed butter completely made up for it!  Perhaps I should have used up the jar a smidge bit more before making the overnight oats.

But, what’s done is done!

Have a lovely Monday!  Are you lucky enough to be off today?  If you are, any fun plans?

All hail empty nut butter jars. ;)

Jessica Alba always looks great. I liked Kate Beckinsale, too.
