Lunch was…imagine this!…leftovers. I am getting really anxious to buy real food and cook again! I had a couple slices of veggie pizza…I think I might be getting sick of pizza. Did I just say that?! Plus, I also had a scotcheroo made with Cheerios instead of Rice Krispies.
Once I got out of work, it was a crazy hour or so of running errands: bank, library, picking up a movie. I had just enough time to run into Chipotle and inhale my dinner. I got caught in crazy traffic then the line was literally almost out the door, so when I say inhale, it’s pretty close to accurate. I had a veggie burrito with rice, beans, peppers and onions, salsa, guac, sour cream, and lettuce. I heart Chipotle.
What I tasted was really great! Seriously though, I don’t have enough Chipotle in my life.
girls on the run is so much fun.
Tonight, I had the opportunity to volunteer at a Walk-a-thon for my local chapter of Girls on the Run. It was such a blast! The girls were so fun to interact with and I loved how excited they were to not only be there tonight, but that they were so excited to be a part of their school’s program. Tonight made me anxious to volunteer more for my chapter! I look forward to the day when I’ll be able coach as well!
The added bonus was that Molly Barker, the founder of this amazing organization, was there as well! I have wicked amounts of respect for Molly and all she has done to change the lives of young girls. I love that GOTR empowers young girls towards a life of positive self-esteem and living a healthy life. I wish that this organization had been around my elementary school when I was younger!
Thanks for visiting Grand Rapids, Molly – I hope you enjoyed our city!
The rest of the weekend is going to be ridiculously busy. Tomorrow I have a 10 mile run planned, plus lots of packing because Sunday is moving day! Since I’m going to be on the go, I’m taking tonight to relax. I’ve got a date with a movie (Dinner for Schmucks), popcorn, and a beer. Busy weekend or not, this is a fabulous way to spend a night after a long week!
Time to go pay attention to the movie – thus far, it’s definitely one of those where they showed the only funny parts in the previews. It’s definitely not what I thought it was going to be which is unfortunate because I love both Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd. Two of them in a movie together should have been comic gold.
