Words of wisdom from High School Musical‘s own Troy Bolton: “you gotta getcha head in the game”. Yes, I have music from the Disney channel on my iPod and I’m not ashamed to admit it. And, yes, sometimes that music is just the motivation I need to keep movie. That song definitely got me in the right zone during my workout today. I did the elliptical for 35 minutes (2.96 miles).
As I was packing up my stuff to leave the Y, I was inspired to leave a new Operation Beautiful note. When I leave notes, I tend to write them based on whatever affirming words I need to hear that day. My thinking is that if I need to have those works spoken to me, then someone else probably does too.
After a day of a few more processed foods than I would have liked, I was feeling just kind of blah by the time I got to the gym. I need to remember how far I have come on my journey. I have done so much to be proud of! I will keep going down that same path and reaching more goals, then making bigger and better ones!
I started the day with the breakfast of champions: Pop Tarts and a Diet Coke. No nutritional value whatsoever, but it sure did sound (and taste) delicious.
Lunch was half a bottle of an Odwalla smoothie and a Fiber One bar. For a long time, I was a huge fan of Fiber One products, but out of all the similar products I could be eating, that is not high on the list. I have a box of the oats and chocolate bars to finish, then no more of their products for me. Kashi all the way!
Dinner was a trip to Bar Louie with one of my dearest friends. When one of us has had a bad day, it has become a bit of a tradition for us to go there during happy hour to share an order of the pretzel sticks and an order of nachos (sans chicken). And, of course, an Oberon!
Now that I’m home, it’s time to pop in a movie and go curl up on the couch. Hooray for Fridays!
