Holy crap. I registered for my very first MARATHON today!
This comes after last night’s I’m never going to be ready for the National Half in two months freak out moment. I had been contemplating this marathon, but I wanted to get through my spring races before registering. Then, this morning I decided I needed to stop thinking about it and just sign up! So, that’s what I did. October 16, 2011, I’ll (hopefully!) be able to call myself a marathoner!
I had a bowl of Kashi Heart to Heart and crumbled in a banana bread muffin. It was a great combination! The muffin soaked up some of the almond milk and it was super moist!
And within an hour of getting to work, I had breakfast number two. Monday mornings are a most excellent excuse for two breakfasts, especially when someone brings in cinnamon rolls the size of your face. That is only a slight exaggeration. These things were massive!
I resisted the immense temptation to eat an entire roll and cut myself a much more reasonable quarter piece. Not nearly as exciting, but I didn’t need to have my calories for the day (or a couple days…) downed before 9:30!
I broke out an old, beloved favorite combo for today’s sandwich: the peanut butter, honey, and apple! Note to self: when bringing a container of honey to work, take it out of your lunch bag before it goes in the fridge! Nothing that a quick spin in the microwave couldn’t solve!
On the side was some hummus and red pepper. The pepper was slightly past its prime. I’ve tasted better. I still ate it. If you don’t hear from me within the next 24 hours, send an ambulance to make sure I’m not dead from a case of bad red pepper.
This future marathoner must get back to work! Hope y’all are having a lovely Monday!
