foster the people.

Sometimes I feel like I have the immune system of a sloth.  I don’t actually know what kind of immune system a sloth has, but I feel like it’d be pretty comparable to my own.  I am, yet again, fighting off some sort of cold/flu bug.  I know it’s that and not allergies because when I’m getting sick is the only time I ever want orange juice and I had a serious craving for it yesterday.

I’ve been laying really low the last few days.  Work has been those I absolutely have to be in the office kind of days the past week, so I’ve sucked it up and gotten my butt out the door, even though I’d much rather be at home, watching movies in bed.  I’ve definitely been heading straight home as soon as the day is over.  There have been multiple episodes of The Big Bang Theory watched over the past few nights and early to bed (even though the moment my head hits the pillow and the lights go off, I’m wide awake.

I’m determined to be healthy before the holiday/my birthday weekend!

On another note, I have to share my new music obsession!  Foster the People!

Confession:  the first time I heard Foster the People, I really didn’t like them.  At all.  Dianna Agron (Quinn on Glee) had written about them on her blog ages ago, long before they were becoming mainstream.  I wanted to like them, but it just didn’t click.  Lately though, I’ve been listening to their album on Spotify and it has completely grown on me.  For a group that I wasn’t a fan of initially, now I can’t get enough!  They’re sound is really unique, very different from anything I’ve heard come onto the music scene.

Pumped Up Kicks is my jam, yo.

Now I just need them to come play a show in Grand Rapids.
