After almost a week away between house/dog sitting and a weekend in my hometown, I am glad to be back in my apartment. I am anxious to get back to my “normal” routine and sleep in my own bed.
I had an absolutely wonderful weekend at home, spending time with my family. It was a busy couple of days, but just what the doctor ordered. I actually did take photos of most of my food, but have little to no desire to recap two days of food!
I am really excited to have gotten a Nike+ for my birthday! It is something I’ve been looking at for quite some time, but just never broke down and bought it. I send it to my mom as a random gift idea a couple months back and she came through for me! My running has completely slacked off lately. It’s been close to three weeks since I’ve gone at all…and let’s be honest, I really haven’t done much else in terms of exercise to make up for it. I have to real reason. Laziness, lack of motivation, I really don’t know.
But, I think (hope) this will be just the thing I need to get me going again. My half marathon is only about a month and a half away, and my lack of recent mileage I fear will be extremely detrimental come race day. I’m nervous, but at this point, I’m just going to do my best and whatever happens, happens!
Be honest: Do you think I can be ready for a half marathon by mid-October?
