The Final Countdown: Week 2

Slow and steady wins the race, right? That’s what I have to keep reminding myself in this renewed focus.

Last week:  155.8
This week: 155.2 (-0.6)
Pounds to goal: 22.2

About half a pound doesn’t seem like much, and it’s not, but it’s progress in the right direction.

The Final Countdown: Week 2

My biggest success this week was hydration. A couple weeks ago, I started taking a nuun electrolyte tablet every day because I think it’s really helping with my migraines, and as a result, hydration as a whole has really improved. I also did better at my fruit and vegetable intake, even if some of it was in the form of taco fillings.

My biggest struggle this week was activity and staying active. I am grateful for the StepBet games I’m in because that at least forces me to get my steps in each day. That said, just getting steps isn’t enough to help me reach my goals. With the struggles I’m having getting my miles up where they should be for marathon training, it’s just really hard to feel motivated.

My goal for this week is to seriously cut back on the alcohol. I keep saying that and it has yet to happen. There’s something so appealing about cold beer on a hot summer day, but you know what else is so appealing? Reaching my goals and I need to keep that as my focus. I’m closer than I’ve been in a long time and the closer I get, the more I want this.

Fellow weight loss warriors, how was your week? Leave a comment! I’d love to support and encourage you!
