favorite aunt of all time.

I had a hard time getting out of bed which got me out the door later than I would have liked.  On the drive to work, I almost got side-swiped.  I realized I forgot my badge and the keys to my desk at home.  I was quickly finding myself in a bad mood.  I took a couple deep breaths and reminded myself that was not how I wanted to start my day or my week.  Just that simple act seemed to to make a major difference in my attitude.

This morning, I had a bowl of Kashi GoLean! Crunch on my way out the door.  My boss bought in treats from Marie Catrib’s as a thank you for how well last week’s event went.  Whatever bit of bad mood I may have still had was erased with a chocolate cookie.  It was still warm and gooey!

Lunch was pretty simple:  a hummus and sprouts sammie, black cherry Chobani, and a ginger snap Larabar.  I had the Larabar in the fridge with the rest of my food.  Did you know how great they are cold?!

Not long after lunch, I started feeling really lousy.  I got very nauseated and my head started hurting.  I debated going home, but I scrounged up some snacks to see if they would help.  A double dose of pretzels and Sprite seemed to do the trick, for the most part; enough to get me through the rest of the afternoon at least.

I definitely plan on taking it easy tonight.  A thank you card from my oldest niece, Katie, brightened by day a lot!  Apparently, I’m the favorite aunt of all time!  Love, love, love this girl.  Much like all of my nieces and nephews, she makes me feel like the luckiest aunt in the whole world.

So very lucky.

So sweet from your niece! Makes me want to make a special note from M for my sister. 🙂

And a chocolate cookie would turn my frown upside down too!
