Who watched the Emmys last night?

I watched the majority of the awards for comedy which are really the only ones I was concerned with. First off, I have to say that I love, love, love they incorporated Glee, Tina Fey, and Betty White into the opening skit. It was great!

I was very happy that Jane Lynch and Ryan Murphy won for Glee – outstanding supporting actress and outstanding directing for a comedy. Although I really didn’t know much of Jane before the show, I could not imagine anyone else playing Sue Sylvester. Even more well-deserved than that, in my opinion, was Jim Parsons winning outstanding lead actor in a comedy for his role of Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory. I realize that my love of both these shows may have left me somewhat biased, but nonetheless happy with the results!

Work today is going crazy fast. My students are starting a new rotation, so we had orientation most of the morning. My director brought in bagels and fruit for breakfast, but I thought it might be a weird first impression with the students if I were to whip out my camera. It was nothing too exciting, just a sesame seed bagel with some honey brown sugar cream cheese. It wasn’t my first choice, but I let everyone else have first pick of the bagels. I had some watermelon and strawberries later in the morning.

Lunch was a repeat of Friday: Jimmy John’s! My original lunch plans fell through, so it was an easy last minute solution. Their freaky fast delivery combined with my love of their food is a dangerous thing. I remembered to get it sans mayo today, which makes it that much more enjoyable!

Yes, those are the same pictures from Friday. I’m feeling lazy.

I was thinking of going to Zumba tonight, but my muscles are really tense and achy today, so I’m thinking of scratching that plan and doing some yoga instead.

Yep, I think that’s what I shall do. Yoga.

Did you watch the Emmys? Which awards were you happy (or unhappy) with?
