All I could think as I was getting ready this morning was “two more days, two more days, two more days”. That’s right, only two days left at the office until my long break begins! Not that I’m counting or anything. I’ve checked off everything on my this absolutely must be done before you leave to do list checked off, so now I can rest easy!
Since I clearly didn’t have enough carbs yesterday, I stopped for a bagel and coffee on my drive in this morning. Let’s be honest. It was really more about the gigantic cup of coffee. The bagel was an added bonus.
The usual suspect: a salsa pepperjack bagel with veggie cream cheese.
It’s been a few couple of weeks (I think) since I had a bagel, so it was a welcomed return.
I must be craving the spices today because I went for the can of Amy’s fire roasted southwestern veggie soup that I’ve been keeping at my desk. Between that and the bagel, my sinuses are feeling mighty clear! In general, I’m a big fan of the Amy’s line. I think they’ve got a lot of great stuff.
The soup was decent, but not my favorite of their products. I was a bit disappointed by the oily filmy layer. I guess it was to expected for a canned soup, but I was hoping theirs would be different.
Still, I’d eat it again. Oh, but a note to the people at Amy’s? Directions of: “Heat and serve. Please do not overcook.” would be much more helpful if you give me an idea of how long to cook the soup.
