carb overload.

Well, apparently the last, oh I don’t know, 20 or so hours have been all about the carbs.

Last night, I settled in with a big bowl of popcorn and the antics of Lorelai and Rory.

Okay, so no carbs in Stars Hollow.  But, I do love those Gilmore Girls.

This morning was a simple breakfast with just a slice of toast slathered with mocha peanut butter.

A bit later, my dad came into town for lunch and we went to the ever so exciting Perkins.  It’s not the most vegetarian friendly restaurant, so I went with a safe bet:  buttermilk pancakes and maple syrup.

Tonight, I definitely need to incorporate something slightly less carb filled and slightly more green and vegetable like into my diet.

After lunch, I headed to the gym for a short run (1 mile) and an hour of yoga.  My body was not feeling the yoga most of the class.  I was shaking in almost every pose.  I don’t think I’ve been that shaky since when I first started practicing.  By the end of class, it was going a lot better.

On a more serious note, if you’re the praying/positive thinking/good vibes kind of person, could you send out some of whatever it is you believe in for my step-mom’s mother (I guess that would make her my step-grandmother, wouldn’t it?).  We just found out she has cancer.  There’s still a lot of details about it that are unknown, but anything positive sent her way would be excellent.

Technically, GG always has carbs involved just not directly adding to your diet 🙂 They eat more on that show than most grown men!

I will think good thoughts for your step-mom’s mother. It must be a rough time to deal with the news and the holidays.
