My brain hurts. I’ve spent most of the night working on the site, particularly the layout. It’s starting to look the way I want, but it’s going to take some more tweaking for sure!
I snacked on some animal crackers midday. I wish they had been the frosted kind. You know, with the super thin layer of pink icing? I used to scrape the icing off with my teeth, then eat the cookie.
After work, I made a mad rush to go feed the dogs and let them out for a few minutes before I had to get myself back downtown in time for my 5:40 Zumba class.
I walked up to the house and all I could hear was this high pitched beeping sound and my first thought was that a smoke detector needed new batteries or something along those lines. I get inside and discover that it’s not the smoke detector, but the security system. You know, the one they’ve never given me the code to or show me how to use.
I look for a few seconds unsure what to do and then just push a button to see what happens. The beeping stopped but I was a bit worried that I had set off something that was going to send the police. I feed the dogs, change into my workout gear, and get ready to head out. All seemed good thus far! As I was walking over to my car, what do I hear coming down their street? Yep, police sirens. My heart froze, my stomach churned, I was freaking out!
Let me tell you, I have never been so relieved that the police were heading to an accident scene! Great for me, but bummer for the super fancy Hummer that wasn’t looking so pretty anymore!
After that minor debacle, I was ready to get my dance on! Zumba was a great class tonight! I can really tell a difference in my confidence now that I’ve been back in the habit of going regularly!
I had a random, but delish, combination tonight. I baked some sweet potato fries, then munched on spinach artichoke dip while they were in the oven.
I normally bake the fries at 350 for 40 minutes, but I upped the heat to 400 and left them in for about 25 minutes (flipping halfway through) and they came out much better, I think! My new mantra: higher temperature plus less time equals perfection.
Time to go play with formatting a bit longer, then I need SLEEP! See y’all tomorrow!
