I was happy to see Michigan State win this afternoon (Big Ten, baby!!)!!! On the other hand, I was really bummed to hear my alma mater, Grand Valley State, lost their second round playoff game for Division II. Better luck next year, boys.
Last night the family had ham and scalloped potatoes for dinner…not so much a meal I could eat, so I made do with lots of veggies. It was cruciferous vegetable night (a la Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon Cooper). I had a big plate of roasted veg with some leftover cabbage, and some garlic toast.
Dessert was a pumpkin spice cookie. Notice Lucy eying it in the background! Puppies like pumpkin, too!
I spent most of today spending time with the family. I just adore my nieces and nephews so much! I was sad to leave this afternoon, but I have the big dinner with my mom’s side of the family tomorrow, so I’ll get to see all five of my munchkins then!! I can’t wait!!
I got the day going with a smoothie made with some Chobani, strawberries, mango, banana, and some orange juice. I threw some oats on top for a little crunch. I missed my green monster.
Subway for lunch. With chips and dip on the side. Yum.
I grabbed some Starbucks once I got on the road. Hello, my name is Mindy and I am addicted to Starbucks. Admitting it is the first step, right?
The original plan for the day was to get back to Grand Rapids around lunch time. It’s 5 pm and I’ve been home for less than an hour. Things didn’t go according to plan at all. I was going to head to the Y, but I’m going to a movie instead. Two movies in two days? Okay! That’s what holiday weekends are for!
