This morning, thanks the beauty that is Groupon, my friend Jacqueline and I registered for the Grand Rapids Adventure Boot Camp.
A program of fitness instruction, nutritional counseling and motivational training. You will be inspired and have fun while participating in a fantastic workout led by Certified Adventure Fitness Trainer, Rob Willsea.
It’s a four week program that meets five days a week.
At 5:30 in the morning.
I am not a morning person. At all. So, this should be interesting.
While I’m not particularly enthralled about the time, I think it will be a really great opportunity to get in a different type of workout and physically challenge myself in a brand new way. I think that if I really push myself, it will help to to get toned and fit in a way that I can’t do on my own. Plus, it’s a class for women, so I think that will definitely take away some of the intimidation factor.
Have you ever done a similar type of class? Would you if the opportunity arose?
In other news, breakfast and lunch were quite uneventful today. Breakfast was cereal and lunch was leftover macaroni and cheese. Am I the only one that finds macaroni and cheese completely not filling? The package I made yesterday says it has four servings, but I finished it off in two.
Dinner was fabulous and I am actually quite disappointed there aren’t pictures. It was the dinner that my program director hosts for the medical students each rotation. It’s something she does every year and it’s always a treat. So, I had some quinoa and vegetable salad, lots of fresh fruit, bread and butter, and some salad. Oh, and dessert was lemon bars and a chocolate/caramel/walnut brownie, so I had a small piece of each.
